I am thinking about buying a used washer from a friend of mine. He has told me I will need to purchase a few "small" parts for it but the problem is that he has lost the manual and can't even tell me the size capcacity of it. Is there anyway you can tell me the load capacity of this washer and if I would be able to but parts for it still? I haven't seen the washer because he lives an hour away and I am just wondering if it is worth the trip.

Hi Asmall5
In our area you can buy a nice used Whirlpool top loading washer in very good condition for $100 to $150 from a private party and this is what I advise you to do.
To answer your question, no, it is not worth the trip. Look around and I am sure you can get a "like new" washer at a very good price that needs no parts.
Good luck
