All other cycles work well, but when it gets to spin cycle it doesn't spin. My wife threw away the manual years ago. I need some help. I've never worked on a washing machine but I am capable if I can find info.

The most common cause for "no spin" is a bad lid switch.

Well, when I close the lid it sounds like it is spinning but it is not. Is this still a bad lid switch
