Whirlpool washer

Model Number: LSQ9549lw0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years

Water continued to fill tub and overflow the only to stop it was to turn it off at the cutoff. Do I need a new waterfill valve?

You need a new water solenoid mounted on the back of the washer.
