The washer is a whirlpool model wtw4815ew0

I'm mechanically inclined so I can do whatever is needed to check what is wrong. I just dont know the steps to isolate the problem to one part.

Problem: Washer starts and drains but it isn't agitating anymore. Makes a sound like the motor is working correctly, but visibly it has very little movement inside the drum/ agitator area. Any help would be appreciated. I tried to go into debug mode but couldn't get it to turn on. I just don't want to replace parts blindly. Again thanks for any help.

Right now I'm thinking it is either the actuator or the clutch but no idea how to tell if either is bad without it being visually obvious.
