Hello all,i have a Roper washer model number RAX7245KQO its just over 10 years old.It goes through the wash cycle ok,but just before it drains and/or spins it stops completely.I thought this info might help you guys with my issue. If i lift the lid and have the washer knob turned out/on i can hold down the lid switch and it will start spinning and draining, but as soon as i close the lid it will stop.I've searched the videos here which are very helpful,i believe i could change the lid switch, but do you guys think that sounds like my issue?I'm ok with trying that, but unsure if it could be motor or clutch/transmission related,as i've never attempted working on a washer before. Thanks to anyone who could chime in with their opinion,i appreciate it ! Jeff.

This is almost certainly the lid switch, and it is a repair you can do. Just take your time

Here is the part

Part number: AP3100003
Part number: AP3100003

and the video will show you how to do this

Good luck, you'll be fine.

Yes it is difficult sometimes getting the cabinet back on. I tilt it from the front, and open the lid to see that the front lip goes like it should.

Glad you got it fixed, good luck with your washer!
