My Mom has a Roper top fill washing machine that will fill with water and then do nothing else, won't agitate, drain, or spin. It does make a humming noise on those settings, but that's it.
We already replaced the lid switch assembly, and then replaced the timer, still no luck. I should note that my Mom says that at the end of the last load that washed, she heard the brake kick in and then a loud thump or pop sound.
Any help would be appreciated. Also, you can't manually turn the washer tub or the agitator. Hmmmm.
