Washer Repair

Every function on the washer seems to work fine except it does not spin. The agitation seems to work well and pump seem to work fine. Don't hear any abnormal sounds. The timer seems to go thru the sequences just fine. I susupect either a gear house problem or a bad clutch. Must say I'm a novus . Please help?

Pull off the outer panel, the pump and motor. Inspect the coupling, if ok, turn the coupler on the tranny clockwise till the spin basket tries to turn. If very hard to turn with one hand, you either have dragging brake shoes, or something stuck in the tub. You can shine a light in the tub to check for something jammed there.
