Default washer leaks
Model Number: atlantis mav7600aww   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

There's water coming from under the outer tub. It's a slow leak that is making the entire bottom of the tub wet. I was told that it was possibly the tub seal. Am wondering how difficult and if I need special tools to repair this. I am also wondering if it is worth repairing this model or should I just plan to replace the washer. Advice and imput is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Donnie

Best to fix this before the tranny fails from the water leak.
Pull front panel and confirm water leak above tranny. If so, go to Appliance repairs, Appliancehelp, Appliances, repairs to dryers washers dishwashers fridges repairs microwaves ge maytag kenmore frigidaire westinghouse inglis, appliance how to take apart information, purchasing an appliance help, model number help, for repair info. It is a rather involved repair and you will need a special spanner wrench. Click on your model # for parts info.

Default Maytag Washer 7 years old Water leak

I have the same problem.
It seems like water is driping from around the 8" diameter Trany housing (Minor Leak) The bigger problem is water leaking between the 18" seam between the plastic outer tub and the steel bottom. Maytag model Number MAV6357AAW.

Is this the same seal that you replaced.
