I found a small leak under my dishwasher and traced it to the area under the float. After removing the float, I found the standpipe was loose and must be the source of the leak. There is no gasket under the nut.

My first question: should the flat gasket be assembled inside the tub or under the tub? If it is supposed to inside the tub, then I'm missing that part.

My second question: the sound dampening pad behind the toe plate has gotten gross from the leak. What's the part number to replace that?

Click on the part's picture for more info on it.
According to the Q&A the gasket goes inside the tube.
Part number: AP3181006
Part number: AP3181006

It is a good idea to give it a light coating of grease etc. before installing it. This should prevent the nut from twisting it when you tighten it.

As far as the sound dampening, look in section 1 of the parts.
Looks like it may be item 7 Pad-Ins. That is if I assume Ins stands for insulation. Probably best just to get the whole kit and caboodle (item 5).
