Turned on oven and can hear the clicker go three times, can hear the gas turn on and then all shuts down. No ignition. Had problems yesterday. Turned the oven on this morning and all worked fine. What was the problem and solution to the following previous post? Just wondering if I have something starting to go out and what to look for. Range is only a year and a half old.

Whirlpool oven won't light
Model Number: SF362LXSS0 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
I have a Whirlpool Accubake oven (SF362LXSS0) that doesn't seem to be consistently turning on, and the problem's getting worse and worse. If I try to turn it on to bake, I hear several clicks, but not that "gas oven turning on" sound and no heat comes out (but a slight smell of gas is emitted.) In recent experience, however, I recall that the broiler does work.

I read around on the forums and checked the resistance of the solenoids; it's about 196-205 Ohms for each connection. I also took off the lower panel and was able to verify the spark on the igniter.

Does anyone have any other ideas or suggestions for diagnostics before I start throwing parts and money I've not got at this thing?

Hello,

It is impossible to diagnose it while the oven works properly. You have to wait until it will do it constantly and then post detailed description on the problem.

The model number you posted is incomplete.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by the model number being incomplete. If I click on the active link for the model number listed on this page, WFG374LVS, it takes me to a list of parts for the thing. Let's pretend it is doing this all the time, just like Burt Simmons indicated his was doing, what would be a best guess?

There is a number after "S" in the model number.

One of possibilities is a clogged burner lighting holes.

I have same problem. Replaced spark igniter on bake burner, DSI card and Oven Control card, still no spark. If I connect the bake igniter to the broil igniter output of the DSI card, then the bake burner lights and works fine (but now broil burner doesn't spark). Don't know what to try next.
