Ice make it not working properly. Ice cubes are smaller and the water flow does not sound like it pulls enough water. I have replaced the water filter x 2 within 60 days. It worked after replacement of the filter for about 10 days both times. Then it seems to not draw the water properly again. Correct model # GRS20ZRH

There is a water level adjustment screw on the right side of the ice maker head. Turn it slowly CCW for no more than 360° and give it a try.

The model number you posted is incorrect. Verify and repost it please.

This model number is incomplete.

Did you try to adjust the amount of water into the ice maker?

Do you have any other water filters in the house for the same water line?

I haven't adjusted the the water level yet. There are no other water filters in the house. I'll ajust the water level this evening. Thanks Gene.

Your freezer shouldn't be frosting up. There is a fan that is supposed to force the humid air out of the freezer. May be a problem there.

Do you have a self piercing saddle valve on the water line to the fridge? If so, turn the valve all the way in and back it out all the way. Self piercing valves plug up easy and need to be cleared every so often. Those valves will actually void a MFR warranty.

Ijust purchased a whirlpool gold refrig used. it works great except for the ice maker. I found this forum and hope someone can give me advise. The ice maker fills with water and makes ice but all the cubes have some type of paper frozen in them. Also when filling the water does not seem to stop and it runs over into the ice holder and we get about an inch of frozen water in the bottom of the tray and all the ice cubes freeze into it. we tried turning the water pressure down at the valve coming into the frig but that didn't seem to help. It's a model GB22DK. Any help would be appreciated.
thank you

Sorry for the delay.

Looks like there are two bad parts: the ice maker and the water inlet valve. Replace them and enjoy iced water :)

- The ice maker Part number: W10190965
Part number: W10190965

This ice maker comes without the head cover and the shut off arm. You have to use them form the old ice maker.

- The water inlet valve Part number: 12490801
Part number: 12490801
