Washer makes a high pitched noise when agitating or spinning. It has done this occasionally for years, just started doing it continuely today. Washer is level. What part do you think is bad? Washer is 12 years old , is it worth fixing?

Tilt the washer back and remove the belt. Check how freely the pump pulley is moving in both directions. Post the results.
