The dishwasher seems to go through all cycles, however when we open it the soap has not completely dissolved from the dispenser. I tried liquid soap with the same results. What would cause the machine not to have enough water or pressure? Thanks for your advice.

Remove the lower spray arm. Remove the filter guard and the filter assembly (#36 & #4 on the diagram).

Remove the pump filter and the rinse arm (#6 & #7) and clean them using a white vinegar and a tooth brash.

Here are the parts

For low water, there is a filter screen built into the input side of the fill valve perhaps it is partially plugged.

Shut the water off
Put a pan or tray under the valve to catch the water.
Loosen the water input line, let it drip into the pan, empty the pan as necessary. When it does not drip/drain anymore remove the water input from the valve. This just lessens the amount of water on the floor.
Remove the valve and check the screen.
Clean it if necessary.
Do not remove it. It is there to keep crud out of the valve which could hold it open and cause a flood.

Note: This does not totally eliminate the valve as the cause of a low water level condition as the valve may not be opening all the way.

If it is partially blocked, it is a good idea to drain some water out of your hot water tank. Let it run till the water is clear. This will also make the tank more efficient and extend it's life.

Dear Denman,
Thanks for your advice.
Ater cleaning the interior drain filters without any change, I tried to pull out the dishwasher to get to the water feed filter. The machine is in so tight I almost gave up. Is the outside the only way to get to the water feed filter?
