Ge Refrigerator not cooling

It appears that the freezer is working properly but the refrigertor is not cooling. My husband has cleaned grill in the back near the condensor and near the fan. We removed all items in the fridge now for a good 12 hours and it appears not to be cooling properly. We had a repair person come in that checked the damper and cleaned it out. It still is not cooling. We now have been told to replace the damper assy and the main control board. What do you suggest we check. We do have 30 days to return the parts if this is not the problem. Thank you.:confused:
