Dryer not producing any heat. Removed wires from the heating element reads open with mulitimeter. I believe it should read 7 to 10 ohms. Before I replace the heating element is there anything else I should check? Thermal cut off and thermistor both were not open.

If the heating element is open then this is the culprit. No doubts about it. I don't think any other parts are involved in this problem but this is very good time to clean everything inside the dryer. - The heating element Part number: AP3866035
