I ordered part #WP9708753 planetary for my KP26M1XQNP5 mixer. The new shaft doesn’t have the second machined groove for the Oring. The original shaft has two grooves; upper for retaining snap ring at the top of the gear stack, lower for the Oring that seals the gearbox from leaking grease into the planetary housing. The parts diagram clearly shows two grooves in the shaft. I was told to contact you to determine what is wrong and how to resolve this issue.
For this model number the planetary part number is based on color variations. Here is a link to the parts list with the various colors, unfortunately some of them are out of stock and some are no longer available.

I am not looking for the part. I was told someone would tell me if the replacement you offer is the correct part for my mixer.
The planetary part is list by the mixers color variation, the link I supplied has all the color variations, so you can determine which one is for your mixer and then if it is one that is still available.
Thank you for quickly answering back. Maybe there is some loss in communication somewhere. I already have the part that I ordered from appliance parts pros. I went to replace the planetary on the mixer. The shaft is different than the original planetary shaft. There isn’t a Oring groove in the new planetary shaft. So I would be replacing the new planetary shaft without an Oring into the gearbox. The old shaft had an Oring to seal the gearbox from leaking grease into the planetary housing.
Is this the shaft without an Oring ok to install on my Kitchen aid mixer? Please see the part number I referenced in the beginning question and the model of mixer as well.
The planetary assembly for the KitchenAid KP26M1X series (including the NP5 variant) has been redesigned from its original factory version. The primary modification made by KitchenAid to this specific 5 & 6-Quart planetary assembly is that it no longer features the inner groove meant for the lower shaft seal. If you purchase a new genuine OEM replacement planetary, you do not need to install a shaft seal onto it. To get the correct replacement you would need to use the color variation to match the color of your old one.
