Wont start - no lights on load selection butons

So far I have done the following and can’t get the dishwasher to run:
shut off power at the breaker for 60 seconds
pressed Normal Load then Heated Dry 2 and 3 times
lifted and lowered the float in the bottom of the dishwasher
checked the door latch

The symptoms are that the dishwasher wont run when I press start button.
The only keypad buttons that will light up when pressed are Heated Dry, Hi Temp Wash and Santize.

The cycles buttons (heavy, normal, light) wont light
The start and cancel buttons dont light also.

Anyone? Before I guess and start buying parts I was hoping that somebody recognize the problem

Could be that you are not getting any replies because the given model number does not come up.

Sounds like either the control panel (keypad) or the control board.
You need to find the tech sheet.
With luck it will have a key outputs chart so you can check the keypad with a meter and find out which part is bad.

Thanks. The correct model number is:

Following is the tech sheet.
I had to use a third party site as it is too big to attach on this site.
Un-click the “Use Our Download Manager” and then use the grey button to download it otherwise the site may put software onto your computer that you do not want.

Check the control panel/keypad with a meter.
If it checks out OK then the control board is the more likely culprit.

You may also want to try the following.
Connector Cleaning / Checking
Unplug the unit
Open it up
Remove the ribbon cable from the keypad to the control board at the control board.
Clean the edge connector. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol.
If it is the type where there is not a connector just the insulation is removed, it can be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Do not use an ink eraser as it is too abrasive.
Check the tracks in the ribbon cable for hairline cracks. A magnifying glass helps here.
Would not hurt to clean the connector on the board. Use electronics contact cleaner or isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush. Be gentle and do not reconnect till all the solvent evaporates.
Reconnect everything and give it a try.

I have a meter but what’s the procedure to check them?

isny there a chance it has something to do with water sending pressure or something else jay would prevent the dishwasher from starting? Is there a way to reset this unit? Now that I see there isn’t any control panel behind the loaf selection buttons I’m thinking it’s something else

See the tech sheet, second page bottom center.

Not that would effect the lights on the control panel.

Removing power from the unit for a few minutes will reset it.

Not sure I follow.
The control panel (item 1 in section 02) is the keypad.
The control board (item 3 in section 02) is what interprets the keypad out puts and controls what the unit does.

I’m about to pull the trigger on the control board but before I do could it be the thermal fuse?

Never mind. I just ordered the electronic control. fingers crossed that’s the problem.
