wiring for new control panel

I ordered a new control panel from GE but it did not come with a wiring diagram. Is there some place I can get a diagram to install the new panel? GE is of no help. They want to send a technician out to install.

Jack,

Which part did you order: the control panel (#1 on the diagram) or the control board (#16)?

Have you placed the order yet?

Gene.

The part I ordered is #16. I have ordered and received it. Thank you for any help you can give me with a wiring diagram.

The installation instructions are attached to the reply.

If you ordered it from GE, you probably paid much over $200 with only 90 days warranty on the part?

Appliance Parts Pros sell it for $155.82 and it comes with full one year warranty.

We purchased 3 yr old GE Profile (JT955xxxxx) double oven, which is now not turning on. (Actually the clock initially turned on, but after turning on power to the oven, zapo–I subsequently learned that Neutral and Hot are definitely not the same–thanks DAD for the wrong wiring advise—I guess I can only blame myself)
Power is now stopping at the circuit board. I found a new board for $200 #875280. In your opinion if it were replaced would the oven be back in business? Is there anything else that might have been fried or need to be replaced? Think of if it as a misfortunate lightning strike…

LVKenT,

What is the complete model number of the oven?

Gene.

jt955sof3ss, whoops sorry…Ken

If there is power to the control board but it does not work, the control board is the culprit.

The new control board will probably fix the problem but not the control board you found. This part number is not a valid part number for this model number.

thanks Gene..

Do you think the pc board–Part#16 would need to be replaced too?

Ken

Ken,

This is the part which has to be replaced.

Gene.

Gene the PDF that you posted for the guy installing an oven control panel is just what I need to except for a different model and part number. My oven is an electric GE model no. JBP24WOK3WW and the control panel part number is WB27T10468. Could you post a pdf for me or let me know where I could find detailed instructions like in that?

Gene , its confusing but there are two control boards, there is the main one, and smaller one that appears to be the convection control board…
