Wine Refrigerator

The Led Display Reads 99 Degrees Yet The Temp And Refrigerator Is Working Fine. I Can Adjust The Temp Up And Down Fine I Have It Set At 40 Degrees But As Soon As I Take My Finger Off The Temp Button It Flashes 40 Degrees But Goes Back To Reading An Internal Temp Of 99 Degrees. Help!?!

I noticed today that the refrigerator is icing up today. I think that the GE Refrigerator Sensor or Thermistor is faulty. How do I check it? I know that I use my ohm meter and check the resistance. But I’m not sure exactly what specified range I’m looking for or exactly the correct procedure. I know it’s located behind the evap cover inside the fridge. I took that cover off and saw it there. This is a Ge model no. pwr04fanbbs cooler.

I just removed and checked the resistance and the reading is zero. After removing the sensor the reading on my led display is 32 degrees. I think its a bad sensor that prob controls the defroster in the frige. Is this correct?
