Why fuse blew in dishwasher

Wondering what would have caused the dishwasher fuse to blow. Just wondering if there is something else I should look into that may have caused this and keep from happening again. Thanks in advance

Usually it is just the fuse Item 4 in Section 1 which is why it now includes a wiring harness.

Although this is a thermal fuse it can also blow due to too much current.
So if there was a machine cause it could be overheating or a component pulling too much current.
The current draw is easiest checked with a clamp/clip on amp meter. Most DIYer’s do not have one so they replace the fuse and hope for the best.
I would check for any signs of overheating or wiring problems.

It’s been my experience that the fuse blows due to water temperature too low.
The control may sometimes heat the water at a bad time, like during motor start up. Raising the temperature of the inlet water and cleaning the tub with a 1/2 gallon of vinegar helps.

Let us know if that fixes it, they recommend 130 degrees for the inlet water.
