Whirpool timer defrost replacement

Hello, I need some help from the experts.
I have a Whirpool ED25DQXVS00 fridge and I realized my timer defrost is not working properly.
I went online and bought the part 483212 which the website said it is the replacement for the 945514.
Once I disassembled the control panel, I realized that the parts do not look the same and that the old part has extra wires on the side that are not possible in the new one.
Can some expert, or somebody with more knowledge than me, please help to figure out the wirings?
Thanks in advance

Here is what comes up when I look up your parts numbers on AppliancePartsPros.

If you click on the picture more views will come up so you can compare it with what you received. You can then click on those pictures to expand them.

Your part should have come with an install sheet.

Thank you, but I already have this info.
As you can see in the pictures, there is no additional connector on the side of the unit.
The old part I mentioned has one that is connected to the dial and, probably, to the thermostat.
Both have the main 4 connectors (2 1 4 3) so that is not the problem.
I can take a picture to mine so you can see it.
Thanks

See the attachment for the wiring diagram of this unit.

Perhaps with the parts wiring and the attached wiring you can figure out how it should connect.

Thank you Den man.

With your help, I identified the wiring of my fridge which corresponds to the figure 2 “cumulative compressor run application” in the installation instructions.

The instructions says to follow procedure 2 (see link below) to connect the black loose motor lead to terminal 2. But it does not specify what to do with the other cables that are connected to the side of the original part. (there is a connection on the side with 2 cables in parallel going to different places - you can see them in the wiring drawing but they are not present in the new part I ordered).

The main plug with 4 connections seems to be the same.

Thanks again,

Alex

I am not familiar with your original timer.

Could you tell me which 2 wires on the wiring diagram correspond to the wires you have going into the side of your old timer.
