Main Symptom:How to test damper to make sure its not the problem.
What happens & when:5 year old unit, freezer is right on at 0 degrees. Reefer on top consistently 6 degrees above set point of 36 degrees. Don’t want to replace the damper if I can’t confirm that is the problem. I would think these devices are more robust than 5 years.
Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried: Disassembled fridge liner to get at damper behind the airtower. Damper was 60% closed with power off. Re-assembled thinking of what next step would be, as I plugged in the wire to the damper, it moved. Need specific test to confirm unit is faulty.
