Brand: whirlpool
Model Number: wrf555sdfz08
Main Symptom: ice maker dripping water into to container assembly
What happens & when: water pools and freezes in container assembly locking auger in place creating a jam of big broken ice chunks. Does ice maker assembly or water valve assembly need to be replaced?

JRock10, does the ice maker look like it is overfilling and dripping water down or does it look like the water is dripping from between the motor module and the ice tray?

The one time I observed water dripping from the icemaker it was coming out the end of the ice maker closest to the interior of the fridge…..or what I wld call the front of the Icemaker, not the furthest away or back end of the Icemaker. In the container assembly, under the metal auger, the ice is frozen from the middle towards the front of the fridge. So when you open or pull the container assembly out, it’s the area closest to you that has the big chunks of frozen ice.

Hope this helps! Thanks

It sounds like the ice maker would be the cause of failure. Here is a link to the ice maker that would be used with this model.
