Main Symptom: icemaker is leaking
What happens & when: Water apparently leaks from the icemaker down to the freezer bottom. The ice cubes form properly. Could there be a fill problem or a water valve that doesn’t shut down correctly?

Parts or tests already tried: Removed icemaker and visually inspected, nothing obvious was observed

Is there any ice on any part of the icemaker other than the ice molds?
Do you see any indication of water dripping out of the fill tube?
is there ant ice trails going down to the bottom of the freezer?

How much ice is there and do you notice an water on the floor outside the fridge?
There is only ice in the ice molds. There wasn’t any indication of water dripping out of the fill tube or any ice trails going to the bottom of the freezer. The water on the bottom of the freezer was directly below the ice maker, so I assume the ice maker is leaking somewhere, but I can’t find where. The water fills up the bottom of the freezer and leaks outside onto the floor.
I am more inclined to believe that what you are seeing on the bottom of the freezer is water from the defrost cycle, where the defrost heater melts ice buildup on the evaporator coils. There is a drain located beneath the coils that directs this water to a catch basin underneath the refrigerator, where heat from the compressor evaporates it.
You can access this area by removing the rear panel inside the freezer that covers the evaporator. Directly below the evaporator coils is a drain funnel ( W10815413 Refrigerator Defrost Drain Funnel | Genuine Whirlpool OEM In Stock ) . This drain can become clogged with ice or other debris, causing the defrost water to overflow and collect at the bottom of the freezer, where it refreezes. Once enough ice accumulates, subsequent water can spill out of the freezer and onto the floor.
I recommend inspecting the drain funnel and drain tube for any blockage and clearing them if necessary.
