Whirlpool washer sounds like a jet engine during spin cycle

What happens & when: Washer sounds like a jet engine during spin cycle. I’m fairly sure it is a bearing issue, can the bearings be replaced or are they part of the gearcase? Any help and direction toward parts is appreciated
