I was going to first try replacing the drum mounting hub OEM since it is plastic and from what I learned on YT, is common for it to wear out causing it to lose it’s grib and hence shakes.
BUT, I am having a problem getting the bottom out as it is stuck. Trying citiric acid at the moment to get the corrosive build-up to loosen its grip. Any advise greatly appreciated here.
Until then, I see people replacing pads and springs, but I sense it is the drum mounting hub OEM per the aforementioned reasons.
I could use some guidance and curious what is the common problem? drum? spring? pad? or?
Yes!! I called an appliance guy that used to help us a long time ago to see what he would say as I was having the hardest time removing the tub, thinking it was the drum mounting hub and maybe bearing. He said, it is usually the dampener ie suspension rods. I didn’t think that was it, but was lower hanging fruit than getting the tub out. I ordered the parts from Appliance Parts Pro and low and behold that was the fix. I had to have my son help as it is a two person job, not as easy as the guy in the video shows. After about 2 months of a non-functioning machine, and having to go tot he laundry mat getting smelly cheap detergent residue on my clothes, I am so grateful and feel a sense of accomplishment having fixed it. Thank you Appliance Parts Pro!!
