Whirlpool top mount repair

My freezer drain tube keeps freezing over. The model number for it is ET8CHMXKQ05. I have recently taken everything out of it and let it defrost for two days. Initially everything ran good for the first few days before it started freezing over again and when I checked it the drain tube had frozen over again.

When I took it apart the first time to see what was the issue the heating element was glowing orange despite the drain tube being frozen. I cut a 6inch piece of wire and hung it on the heating element and ran it down the drain tube to try and prevent it from freezing but it still froze and the heating element is cold to the touch as if its not heating up anymore.

The fan in the freezer still works and the freezer has ice rapidly building inside of it but the refrigerator has water leaking inside of it again and it’s barely getting cold. The drain tube was clear prior to plugging it back in or at least I could pour water through it and it would come out at the end of the tube.

Can anyone suggest what I could try next? I’ve seen posts about thermistors and thermostats and stuff like that but I don’t know what this particular model has.

Spellman1989, this is going to indicate that there is a clog in the drain tube running through the liner. Oftentimes this can be cleared by spraying hot tap water directly into the tube with a turkey baster and using a baster similar to a plunger. The exit point in the compressor section would also need to be thoroughly cleaned.
