This refrigerator started making snow like ice around the dispenser and around the ice bin. I clean it off and it starts agoin in the same areas. what is causing this. it worked perfectly for about 3 years. i am not even using the ice dispenser right now. i did change the ice dispenser to crushed ice and then back to cubed ice and it seems like it still wants to crush part of the ice. but my main problem is the snow looking ice that keeps forming. the ice maker makes ice perfectly. and the fridge is cooling great.
I am having the same problem with my Whirlpool ED27RQ refrigerator-freezer with “ThirstCrusher” ice/water dispensing system. Moisture/frost builds up on bottom of ice tray and the top of the ice chute in door, preventing cubes from going into dispenser. The buzzing sound from trapdoor is heard, after the door dispenser bar is pressed. Let me know if you find out what causes this. Thanks. Dave
