Whirlpool Roper Won't start!

To preface:
I had started and ran the dryer the night before I started having issues with it. It ran through a whole cycle and buzzed when it was finished. I tried to start it the following morning and nothing happened. No hot smells or anything.

When I push the start button, nothing happens. There are no buzzer sounds or any sort of noises like the motor trying to start. Dead silence.

Things I have tried:
I have tested the power to the dryer which is fine.

The power to and from the timer unit is also fine.

I have bypassed the door switch to see if that could have been the issue. That did nothing.

I unhooked the motor and tested that for continuity. I tested terminals 4 and 5 which came up with 1.7 Ohms (range was 2.4 - 3.6). I tested terminals 4 and 6 with the disc pushed in and came up with around 2.8 or so. Could the low Ohms reading between 4 and 5 mean a bad motor?

I tested the start switch for continuity and came up with 0.3 ohms with the switch pushed in.

Anyone have any idea what’s going on with this thing?

Thanks

I can be exact with your model number. Vaguely it sounds as if your thermal fuse is blown.

Please post model number.

Sorry.

Thank you.
Now check your thermal fuse. Your fuse should show continuity. If not then your exhaust temperature has exceeded 196º F and it is bad here is your part number.

There is a video along with this link.
Also as Matt suggests in the video clean your entire vent system and ductwork, which may have been the cause for increase exhaust temperature.
