Whirlpool Refrigerator

Hello everyone I have a side by side Whirlpool refrigerator that has stopped dispensing water. It is still making ice but when you push outside tab for water you get nothing and hear nothing. I didn’t know if is sounded like the water value or something else. When I disconnect the line behind the kick plate there is not water there. Can someone help me??? Thanks

Remove the wires from the water inlet valve solenoid (where the 5/16" tube is connected to) and check for 120 VAC between these wires while the water dispenser calls for water.

If the voltage reading is correct, replace the water inlet valve.

If the reading is incorrect, post it and we’ll go further.

Gene.

OK. I will have to get a voltage meter and check it then I will let you know. Thanks

Gene, there is no reading on the wires on the Valve, what do I do next?

Remove the dispenser cover and check the water dispenser micro switch at the water dispenser lever. Post the results.

Seems the bracket holding the Switch has broken, which dislodgbed the Switch. The switch itself works fine…ordered replacement bracket.
