Whirlpool Refrigerator W8TXNGFWQ02 Clicking sound

**Brand:**After refer runs and comes up to temperature and wants to shut down It clicks and the fan motor behind the back wall in the freezer comes on and off about 10 times before it stops.

That might be the thermostat AP6022511 sticking. If you can catch it in the act, tap on the thermostat knob pretty hard with your fingers to see if it stops. If so, replace that thermostat. If not then the likely issue is with the defrost control AP3109393.

OK I can make it stop by turning the thermostate control nob down. And I had problems with it defrosting in the past so I’m guess it’s the defrost control?

Could still be that thermostat, but usually when they stick you have to turn them down AND tap on them. This particular behavior leans me towards the defrost control.

I’m going to stay on it for a couple of more days then order the part. Thank you so much for your help, huge!
