Whirlpool Range

Hi,

Neither heating elements in my oven work. The Lowes man told us that it was the fuse, but we don’t know where the fuse is. Everything on the stove works. When you turn on the oven to bake or convection, the timer works but does not heat up. The fan for the conv. oven works but no heat. Can you tell me what part I need to order?

Here are your parts

And here is a service manual which should help.

The wiring diagram and the service manual both show a thermal fuse but for the life of me I cannot find it in the parts so you will have to call them.

To ensure this is the problem, you will have to unplug the stove and one side of the fuse and then measure it with a meter. It should be 0 ohms.

If it is not the fuse, check the wiring and if it is OK then odds are the control board is toast.

You will ned to remove the back panel to access the fuse.
Most of the time I see them in a fuse holder and sometimes the fuse can be inline with the red wire wire and covered in heat shrink tubing making it hard to find.
