Whirlpool portable dishwasher heating element

I have a Whirlpool portable dishwasher WDP350PAAB4 where the heating element had cracked. I replaced the element and it is not heating the water. I have continuity through the element and about 18 Ohms resistance. If I test the voltage at the leads with the DW running and on heat mode, it’s only reading about 2.0 Volts.

Check your wiring and thermal fuse. If they are OK, its probably the electronic control board.

Probably a fried relay or burnt trace. W10804120

Thank you for the reply. I traced the wires back, there are no fuses or anything inline. Wires go right back to control board on the door. No damage to wires. There is a thermostat under the tub. Any idea what that controls? and would that interfere with the element working?

They call it a thermostat, bu it can “open” keeping voltage from getting to the element.
