On this model of stove there are about 15 rubbery push buttons on the control panel. One of these, start button, activates the oven. It no longer works when I press it. Is this just a switch problem and I should replace that button? Or could it be something else?
Any advice would be appreciated.
If this button is moving freely in and out then the problem is a bad control board. Unfortunately this part is no longer available.

Thanks Gene. I took apart the control panel to take a look and saw the printed circuit that the Start button touches. The rubber button itself does move freely so I guess that was not the problem. When I put it back together, for some reason, the button was working. I also had turned off the circuit breaker to the stove while I was doing this.
Can you figure out why it would start to work again?
It could be as simple as a dust inside. Sometime reseting the power helps too. Hopefully it will last.
