Whirlpool LSR8233EQ0 defective timers

Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: LSR8233EQ0
Main Symptom: Defective timers?-I’ve tried three
What happens & when: The washer stops 1 or 2 minutes after passing the 6 minute mark on the timer dial and doesn’t continue to the rinse cycle. You can pull the knob up and put it on the final spin cycle to get the water out of the washer.
This can be done 2 or 3 times and then it will quit in the middle of the last spin cycle. You can wait until the next morning and it will finish the spin cycle.
If you try one more wash you have to wring out the clothes and wait for the new timer to empty the water out of the washer.
I’m wondering if I’m just getting several of a batch of defective timers.

Error Code (if any):
Parts or tests already tried: Three timers

If you access the timer when the washer stops in the cycle, is there 120 Volts AC when testing from the red wire to the yellow wire then from the blue wire to the white wire with black stripe?

My main question is-do you guys have a shipment of bad timers? I can keep changing them out, but I would rather get one that works right.

It does not sound like the timer is the cause of failure. The function is working at first but then operates less and less after each cycle. It then seems like it has to “cool down” to get some function back until it fails. Since this same symptom has occurred with all of the new timers, and I am assuming this was the same with the original timer, it would suggest there is an issue in the motor circuit.
