I’ve got a Whirlpool LER7647EQ0 Dryer that is not fully drying when set on the automatic cycle, yet when using the timed cycle, it works just fine. I’ve pulled the back of it & cleaned everything, nothing was clogged. I assume since it works fine in the timed cycle that there is nothing wrong with the heating element, thermal fuse or the timer. Am I correct in assuming that this would be a thermostat problem, or am I overlooking something?
EDIT - Just checked the thermostats & thermal fuse & have continuity across them.
I found your post confusing.
In the title you say " Dryer not heating in auto cycle"
In the post body you say “Dryer that is not fully drying when set on the automatic cycle” which seems to say that it is heating but not fully drying.
Which is it?
As you can see from the wiring diagram the only part that changes when in timed dry to auto is the timer. LER7646.pdf (65.8 KB)
