Brand: Whirlpool
Model Number: WRS325SDHZ01
Main Symptom: ice made continuously
What happens & when: The ice maker produces ice fine. It doesn’t stop, however, and eventually the ice wants to overflow in the bin and will spill out when i open the door to the compartment. Appliance Parts Pro diagnosed it as a faulty ice maker and I replaced it with another OEM ice maker from Whirlpool (AP6019085 (WPW10300022). It performed exactly the same way. The arm works fine and I can manually stop ice from being made if i click the arm into the up position. But when the arm is done and the unit is making ice, it keeps producing nonstop.

That usually means an issue with the bail arm W11559683 itself. Is the ice reaching the bail arm and pushing it up at all before the ice begins overflowing the bin?
Whirlpool W11559683 Refrigerator Ice Maker Shut Off Arm | Genuine OEM Part
It reaches the arm, but does not push it up. And if it were to have to push it up to the level at which it clicks into the off position , that would be probably 4 inches higher than the opening to the compartment.
It doesn’t take much distance for the shut-off to be activated. I’d try replacing that bail arm, they’ve redesigned it several times over the years for this issue. If it was still doing it after that then you may have an issue with the bin. Oh, one other thing I’d check even before replacing the bail arm is the leveling of the entire fridge, put a bubble level on top of it from front to back and raise the front so that it is 1/4 to 1/2 bubble above level. That will cause the ice to trend towards the back of the bucket as it drops which may be enough to let the ice raise the arm before it just falls out of the front of the bucket.
