How do I remove the two sponge material grease/odor filters for cleaning or replacement without taking off the whole bottom of the microwave oven?

There should be a little half circle ring that you pull on to push the filter over, then you can pull the filter down and out. If you don’t see the ring, then the filter may be installed upside down in which case you’ll need to push the filter to the left or the right and then pull down on the side that unclips.

I need to remove the filters (aluminum frame with sponge rubber pad that is directly above the aluminum mesh filters that you are describing to me.
I have removed the filters you are describing. The filters in question are located above these when they are removed. How do I remove these filters without taking off the entire bottom of the micro hood unit.
