Bought this whirlpool dishwasher a year ago. Had a spoon break the impeller and I had an impeller replacement kit installed, everything works fine except that after a full cycle the dishwasher does not fully drain.

Water is left at the bottom of the dishwasher, when I press the drain button, the dishwasher drains the water, but it does not do it on it’s own.

Please help, what could possibly be going on?

i have a kenmore/whirlpool dishwasher 3-5 yrs old. depending upon how much water you are talking about, not all water is pumped out at end of cycle. cycle starts with a pump drain, then fill and whatever next. it should have water in the pump housing at the end of cycle.
