I am at my witts end! I moved into a smaller home this past spring after the death of my husband that had a upgraded kitchen. I have a Whirlpool Gold Accubake Electric double oven with convection on the top and it has self cleaning. My problem is that I can not find a model or serial anywhere. I am a widow so I asked a neighbor to come over and pull it out of the cabinet there is no model or serial number anywhere not even on the side of the doors or inside the oven walls. The top oven stopped working. This is what happens: When I push bake for the top oven it starts the count down process of pre heating and you can hear clicking noises but the heating element is ice cold. The bottom oven works fine. I have a home warranty so I called them and they sent over 2 repairmen and the first one said that without the model or serial number he could not fix it the second repairman said it was the controll panel and he took the panel out and said that there was a wire that was taped together in the controll panel & now the Home warranty won’t cover the repair because it was not normal wear & tear. I called Whirlpool and they also said without the model or serial numbers they can not help me either. How many Whirlpool double ovens exist with all the updated features? Can someone help me?
