Whirlpool Gold Accubake Oven won't attain temperature

I hope there is some kind soul who can help me.
I have a whirlpool gold accubake oven that will not get
up to temperature. I replaced the oven sensor hoping that would solve the problem but it is still doing this. The Broil element goes on and off, as per the accubake, the bake element glows during preheat but does not come on after that. So the main source of heat for the oven is the broil element. What can I check, what part do I need. I am becoming very frustrated with the whole thing. Thank you in advance
Sandy

Here is a service manual which may help but it does cover a number of units

Here is the tech sheet, see the attachment.

Sorry but I find your post a little confusing you say “oven that will not get
up to temperature” but then say “the bake element glows during preheat but does not come on after that” which sort of indicates that it does come out of preheat and therefore is reaching set point temperature.

There also seems to be a discrepancy in the manual where it talks about 2 sensors but the wiring diagram and parts only show one. This may just be because the manual is talking about another unit that is covered by it.

When the element do come on do they get a fairly consistent red in color?
Could be one of them is shorting through it’s foot to the frame.

If the elements look OK then I would say that the control board is the cause of your problems.

Thank you so much for your reply. I’m sorry to be confusing. When you turn the oven on, the bake element glows for a period of time then goes off and never comes on again. I have checked the temperature at the time the preheat cycle is over and the temperature in the oven is 250 degrees, not 350. After that, it seems the heat is maintained by the broil element only. I have to turn it up to 500 degrees to get near 350. I have looked on the internet and have seen the control board mentioned but can’t seem to find it on the schematic drawings. Do you know the part #?
Sandy

The control board is Item 15 in Section 2 in the parts link.
The part number depends on the color.

Thanks for the quick reply-
wow, with the cost of the part, I guess I’ll just buy a different stove. Oh well, I like gas better anyway. Thanks though for trying.
