I have a 4 burner gas cooktop. All four burners work just fine. However, while in the off position, I hear a clicking sound (like the electronic starter) as if I were turning the burner on. Is there a way the clicking stop?
Thanks!

It sounds like one of the leads to an igniter is grounding on the chassis of the unit. It could also be a stuck switch on one of the control knobs. You’ll need to see which one it is.
Thank you so much for responding! I took apart the knobs to check to see if one of the switches was stuck in the “down” position (the switch works by pushing down and then turning.) However it wasn’t. I don’t have a clue with regard to knowing where to find the lead to determine if the igniter is grounding on the chassis. If you could describe this to me, I would be most appreciative. The clicking is driving me batty:>)
