Whirlpool Fuse

How does one remove and, more importantly, replace the fuse in this model? Access to the fuse holder is blocked by the black plastic fan housing. I barely got the blown fuse out by prying the plastic away, but replacing in the same manner is next to impossible.

Thanks

Got the fuse in via “brute-force” method.

Neither switch/latching mechanism will latch. I came home to a broken microwave. Found spring and white part of latch laying at bottom of chassis (somebody obviously slammed it shut). Put latch back together and checked function. Remounted latch in closed position - you have to to get the top part into the slot of the front panel - and then moved latch back to open position. When closing the door, both latches do not “toggle” to the closed position. The slotted tabs on the door rotate the white plastic part of the latch, but not enough to “latch”. Checked door tab alignment which is OK. Just seems like the tabs are not going in enough to latch. There appears to be no way to adjust the latch, or is there.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Inspect all locking tabs and pins on the door switch brackets. You cam find more information in the Service manual.
