Whirlpool Fridge ice maker fills again causing overfill

Main Symptom: Ice maker fills a second time causing water to leak into ice bin.
What happens & when: Ice maker will fill with water after a batch is completed but then like 10 minutes later, fill a second time. This causes water to overflow the already filled tray and leak into ice bin. Otherwise it works normally, no errors etc and sometimes doesn’t happen at all. Could this be the control board or does something else initiate another fill cycle?
