Whirlpool DW only partial fill

I have a DU900PWKQ0 that the soap dispenser was not opening on. I replaced the lower linkage on it and now the soap dispenser works great, however it is now short filling. After tracing everything out I find that I am only getting voltage at the water valve for about the last 7 seconds on the fill step. Every thing else seems fine. The timer works fine on all the other steps but is late sending power for the fill. Any ideas?

It ended up being the timer. It failed when I was working on the soap dispenser. Put in new timer and it works great now.
