I have a Whirlpool Duet WFW94HEXW1 Front Load Washer, I am getting an error code of F8E2. The service manual identifies this as a “Dispenser System Error”. I have followed the tech procedures, checking the motor for correct OHM’s and did a quick diagnostic test. Test Phase C00-C02 worked fine. On C03 the washer seems to get hung up. The dispenser motor continues to rotate the dispensing actuator. It makes a slight clicking sound but never stops just keeps going back and forth. I have noticed the washer does not fill with water except if I run the quick diagnostic Test CO2. I cleaned out the drain pump filter and checked the drain hose for obstructions there was some hair and it was removed. I cleared the error codes and started the cycle again. Same error code. Any further recommendation on what to test?
After mucking around for a while I finally traced the problem back to the Switch-dis MFG Part#W10352973. Instead of ordering the item I noticed the contact were corroded. I cleaned them off with fine grit sand paper and viola everything is right in the world.
Thank you PortageREALTOR. Cleaning the contacts on the Switch-dis and the wiring harness worked for me too! No need to replace the part.
