Replacing the heater core due to no heat this weekend. Isn’t this accessed from the front panel on this model?

So, I tore it apart myself and figured it out BUT it seems that something else has blown, because when I tested the new heater element, it wouldn’t light up.
Thermal Fuse?
The first thing to check with no heat is the power.
The heating element requires the full 240 volts.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.

Yes, it could be the thermal cutoff (fuse) in the heater circuit.
Replaced the Thermal fuse, Don’t have a “tester” going by trial and error. But I will flip the breaker a few times.
Next to check out are the thermister and the thermal cuttoff fuses.
This is a no heat issue, everything else is fine though.
Well, bought a multi-meter, the dryer thermister and one of the thermal cut off fuses were blown.
Biggest thing I learned…get a multi meter, that 40 bucks will save you $. I still installed the heater element because I had been loosing drying heat/power over the last few years, and now I have an extra thermal fuse on hand.
Going to have to wait till mid week for the parts to arrive from here..can’t wait to have the dryer back! clothes don’t dry on a line now, they freeze solid! LOL

All new fues’s in place, everything cleaned up and screwed black into place, she heated up like just new! So stoked!
I spent 70 on the heat element, 20 on a thermal fuse, 40 on a multi meter, and 56 on a thermister and thermal cut off kit. A few hours of diagnosing and installing new items. I still spent less than calling in a service tech.
Next, replacing the Bellows on the washer, again GRRR. They tear too easily.
