WhirlPool Duet dryer with 'E1' error

I have a Whirlpool Duet Dryer that is showing an ‘E1’ error… I thought it just may be lint built up, but I totally cleaned out from the lint trap through the back of the dryer… I still get the ‘E1’ error… Any thoughts? Thanks!

not sure what that is off the top of my head but the service manual is under the top lid and it says in there.

An E1 is a thermistor failure, part #AP3919451. It is located behind the lower access panel on top of the blower housing and is held in place with a couple 1/4 screws. If you use a meter to check the resistance, you will probably find an open circuit.
