On your model there are a couple of things that can cause the drum to squeak under a heavy load.

  1. The front bearing and slides ( GE WE3M26 Dryer Drum Front Support Bearing | Genuine OEM Part ) & ( GE WE03X37317 Dryer Front Bearing Drum Slide Green 2-Pack | Genuine OEM Part ) ( GE WE03X37318 Dryer Front Bearing Drum Slide White 2-Pack | Genuine OEM Part )
  2. The rear drum support bearing ( GE WE25M40 Dryer Rear Drum Bearing Kit | Genuine OEM Part )
  3. The belt ( GE WE03X29897 Dryer Drive Belt | Genuine OEM Part )
  4. The tensioner idler Pulley ( GE WE12X83 Dryer Idler Pulley | Genuine OEM Part )

Opening the top of the dryer and paying close attention to where the noise is coming from usually aids in narrowing down the source

If this helps narrow it down, when it’s fully loaded and heavy it makes almost a grinding noise. We’ve been doing smaller loads

Is it coming from the front or back or can you tell?

I want to say from the back but I’ll remove the top ASAP and get a better read on it
