dryer Whirlpool YMEDB765FW0. Issue: start a cycle, it shows 35 minutes, after a couple minutes it jumps to 3 minutes, and then it never stops — time keeps jumping up and down.

I’m going there tomorrow. Plan:

  • check moisture sensors (TEST #5),

  • measure outlet thermistor (TEST #4a),

  • inspect vent/airflow for blockage.

Anyone seen this exact behavior before? What usually ends up being the cause?

The steps you are taking would be the correct route to go. Check the wiring as well and if they are good then the control board would be the issue.
